Brief History
Two Goats Deli and Brewery was started in 2003 and is one of the oldest craft breweries in South Africa. Andre, the owner had always brewed beer for himself but decided to start the craft brewery when he moved here with his family in 2002. The cheese making was started at the same time to complement the beer. A small restaurant was started serving the beer, cheese and other deli products.
The Brewery produces four different beers. Our standard Ale being the Karoo Ale, a Honey Ale infused with honey from our own bees, the Karoo Pale Ale that is heavily infused with Southern Promise hops and a dark beer that is slightly heavier with coffee and liquorice overtones. We have lately also started producing an Apple Berry Ale very similar to a cider.
Two Goats produces a range of soft and hard cheeses that are served together with our home baked bread, range of pickles and a locally produced kudu salami.
Our own range of coffees are hand roasted under the Sneeuberg label. Three different blends are produced, The medium dark roast Karoo Blend, The dark roast Insomnia and our lighter roasted Breakfast Blend.
